  • 1 package (17.3 oz) puff pastry (2 sheets)
  • 1 lb ground sausage meat
  • 1 medium onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tbsp fresh parsley or sage, chopped
  • 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a skillet over medium heat, sauté the chopped onion until translucent. Add minced garlic and cook for about one minute until fragrant. Stir in the ground sausage meat and cook until browned. Mix in fresh herbs and remove from heat.
  3. On a lightly floured surface, roll out the puff pastry sheets into large rectangles and cut into squares (about 3 inches wide).
  4. Place a spoonful of the sausage filling in the center of each pastry square. Fold over to enclose the filling and press firmly to seal; crimp edges with a fork.
  5. Brush the tops of each roll with beaten egg for a golden finish.
