  • 1 cup vegetable oil
  • 1 cup buttermilk
  • 16 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup granulated sugar

  • 1 cup whipped cream (for topping)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a springform pan.
  2. In a large bowl, mix together the red velvet cake mix, eggs, vegetable oil, and buttermilk until smooth.
  3. Pour the batter into the prepared pan and bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean. Let cool completely.

  5. Slice the cooled cake horizontally into two layers. Spread half of the cheesecake filling on one layer and stack the second layer on top. Top with remaining cheesecake filling.
  6. Refrigerate for at least four hours or overnight to set. Before serving, garnish with whipped cream.
